mr. and mrs. ohl

this is WAY too many photos to put in one post but i post so rarely these days i feel like i need to make it a really good one. the Ohl's wedding was from a few weeks ago. i got to shoot with a good buddy of mine, Brandon Lata (whose website is coming soon) up in Buffalo, New York. The wedding was great but the reception was really really amazing. I'm not just being nice, it was incredible. It was in a retired church with huge ceilings and stain glass windows, there was crowd surfing, stage dancing, limbo contests, great food, plenty of drinks....

by the time i left the reception i really felt like i was part of the party.

so, hopefully you can make it to the end of these photos. i think this is more than i've ever put in one post but i just couldn't filter it down any lower!

where i was yesterday.

I'm incredibly behind with blogging. I have three weddings i need to get on here asap. but, i did have a few shots that i wanted to post from my weekend. i got to photograph a really fun wedding just north of san francisco this past weekend. it was in this beautiful state park (tomales) and the scenery was really amazing. there are deer and elk everywhere, huge cliffs where you can look out over the ocean and hear the sea lions and long winding roads where you can really see what your rental car is made of.

new blog!!

yes i'm long winded tonight but i just have so much to write about. you may have noticed that the blog looks a little/lot different. it's not very noticeable to normal people but to all the nerds out there this new interface is INSANELY better than the last blog. if you never saw it, too bad. i deleted it.

this new blog has links to old posts, a great archiving system, new headers each time you load the blog, an info page, and one of the coolest features is a super easy way to add comments. you never have to leave the blog to comment.

so, since this blog is so incredible, i need to do some advertising for the guy who created it. rob from fourminus.com is a GENIUS. this guy produced a blog in a few days that was exactly what i designed/requested. his rates are VERY reasonable and he's super easy to work with so if you need a new blog, drop him a line at rob@fourminus.com this guy can do anything!

here's the new blog. have a look around.

COMING SOON: major upgrades to timwill.com

i created timwill.com myself this past year and for a beginner, it's not that bad. however...it's in need of some major upgrades so i've called in a big-gun to help me out. a good friend of mine and future client (next month, woohoo) is going to be modifying the site in a major way. So stay tuned for some serious face lifts to timwill.com...

NEW PRODUCT!!!

personalized wedding sites for EVERYONE.

sarah and i are getting pretty close to the end of planning our wedding and one of the major things on my list was creating a website for all of our guests providing them with ALL of the info: gift registries, time lines, contact info, directions, hotels....EVERYTHING.

after i finished it i realized that there are a lot of people out there who'd LOVE something like this but who don't have the time to sit around and lose sleep over learning these really complicated website programs! so we're going to be offering _ _ _ _ _ (insert a cool title) i haven't thought of a cool title yet but there's one out there. if you have an idea put it in the comment box because i could use some help.

SO: we'll be offering personalized super-sweet websites to our clients starting at $490. it's possible they'll find their way into our higher end wedding packages in the near future as well.

these sites will be an incredible way to let your guests know all of the information about your wedding. also, most stores where brides register host an online mall of all of the couple's selections. with your personalized websites your guests won't even need to log in to shop for gifts! they can order on line and ship directly to your home!

check out the screen captures below or go directly to the site

stunning/amazing/incredible new client sites

All of our client interface is brand-spankin-new. Each client receives a slideshow of the best images from their wedding and a full shopping cart gallery including all of their images. Before now, the different sites were un-linked but we've just added a stylish splash page that links to both sites very quickly. Each client needs only one word to view all of their images rather than two separate web addresses and passwords. MUCH nicer.

Also, we've switched to an incredibly smooth new shopping cart gallery with pre-loaded images so there's no more opening images separately each time you see one you want to look at.

If you'd like to see a demo you can check a mock-up version of sarah and me. Click here .

here's what they look like:

abri + ryan

i am finally getting a chance to put up a post about this amazing couple's wedding from a few weeks ago. this was my second stop on the road-trip up north: New Jersey. thanks so much to abri and ryan for the amazing photo-ops :) njoy

amazing view from 16 (or something) floors up

kayak-ing

i learned to kayak yesterday. (although...the guy in the picture isn't me. he is dave. i'll be honest, i thought it was just a sport for outdoor fanatics but it was a really great time. you have to wear a helmet and sometimes you think you're going to drown but it's still pretty enjoyable. anyways, the recent weddings are coming soon so check back.

amber + dave

well, back from a crazy trip. three weddings and 2000 miles in one week. ohio-jersey-new york.
i'm just now getting to my blog posts but i think it's worth the wait. these past few weddings have been some of my coolest so far.
so: getting caught up. my first wedding of the week was in Ohio. i was blessed to be able to photograph dave and amber tying the knot. they're two really cool people and they were so easy to photograph. thanks to dave and amber for the amazing photos. i think a few of these will definitely find their way into my portfolio!

new number.

Hey hey. To anyone who needs to reach me, my new number is 803.341.8857
I switched providers recently and I can't tell you how much of a pain in the arse it was. 4 days of sitting on hold and dealing with supreme incompetence. I know there are times in my life when I was angrier but I really can't remember when.
I tried to keep my old number but it just wasn't in the cards. SO. New number. Make a note.
