honeymoon.

these aren't intended to make anyone jealous but when you experience a place like this you have to share it. we stayed a week here in the grenadines and all that paradise was so exhausting we decided to stop in miami for a couple nights on the way back. i always liked the beach in miami but it just couldn't compare after our stay in the caribbean. on a dorky gear note: all the honeymoon photos were taken with a little point and shoot. if you're getting into photography and you want something small that can pack a punch, check out the Canon Powershot G9. that's what we used the whole week and that little thing is incredible. enjoy the photos...

our photobooth

at the wedding we made this totally ghetto looking photobooth where our guests could hop in and take pictures of themselves. somehow it still worked out and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone out there getting married. it's really fun getting photos of all of your guests (especially when they're a little "uninhibited") here are a few that i liked.

back in the saddle.

For those of you who don't know me, I am now Mr. Willoughby. I think I graduated to 'MR.' when I got married last week. Now there is a Mrs. Willoughby.

I just got home from an amazing three weeks on the road. I was in D.C. shooting for two days, then I headed up to Michigan to tie the knot with my amazing fiance (now wife) Sarah. We had an incredible wedding, an incredible reception and a really really incredible honeymoon. I have a lot to write and tons of pics to post but I just got home about an hour ago and we have so much unwrapping and unpacking that it might take me a few days.

Here's a kind of weird photo I was fooling around with. Just one for now. But stay tuned...much more to come.

the masons

I have a ton of things I want to get up on the blog. For now, here are a few shots from Lauren and James' wedding in California. Earlier in the month I posted some photos of a really scenic area just north of San Francisco. That was the setting for the Mason's wedding. They got married in this beautiful little state park. It was a very small, very intimate wedding out in the woods kind of overlooking a little cliff and a really gorgeous lake. Unfortunately, it was too far of a drive to make it to the ocean or the big cliffs I was at the day before but we still found some really cool places to shoot. So, here are a few of the 'formals' and a couple quick ones from the ceremony.

the key's wedding

Hangin out in the mid-west. I was part of a really beautiful ceremony a few weeks ago way out in the middle of Kansas. Both Katie and Sean are wonderful people and it was a real joy to be able to photograph their wedding.

en otras noticias: I'm tying the knot myself this upcoming weekend which is both exciting and petrifying. it's really amazing that I'm a part of so many people's weddings and this experience for me can still be so surreal.

next week Sarah and I will be heading down to the grenadines for our honeymoon so i'll be out of reach for about 10 days or so. i might still have email but you never know with these little carribbean islands.

free iPod Nano

all you have to do is refer someone to me for wedding photography and if they book me, I'll send you a brand new iPod nano. i've been putting a little bit of thought into advertising for the upcoming year and I really believe that word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertisement available. so, if you like what you see here and you believe in my work then chat it up for me and help me fill up my schedule.

if someone you know is getting married, get really excited and tell them you know THE BEST photographer and get them on my site. if they end up booking me then I'll send you a free iPod nano (or if you already have one you can opt for a $200 studio credit to use towards coverage, prints, or an album)
